Inaugural “Becoming One”Awardees Honored at Banquet

28 July 2018 (Siler City, North Carolina)–The Becoming One Community Enrichment and Diversity Center honored the inaugural recipients of the “Becoming One” Award during a community banquet held at the Chatham County Agricultural and Conference Center Saturday, July 28th, 2018.
The inaugural awardees represent a wide cross-section of the Siler City community and have been dedicated to service and improvement for a number of years. We are pleased to announce the winners as:
- Phil Scotton, Proprietor of the Phil’s Barber Shop in Siler City, North Carolina
- Ilana Dubester, Founder and Director of the Hispanic Liason in Siler City, North Carolina
- Gene Goldston, Retired Teacher at the Siler City High School in Siler City, North Carolina
- Gretchen Carter, Owner of Groomn Plus in Siler City, North Carolina
Each recipient received a customized plaque and community recognition to celebrate their award. It is our hope that they will continue on with Becoming One to help us further our mission moving forward.
